North Cornwall
The Heritage is yours. |
But
what's the difference????? The north coast of Cornwall
stretches from Lands End to the Devon border.......whereas North
Cornwall's heritage coast stretches from
Bedruthan Steps near
Porthcothan, just north of Newquay, to the Devon border near
Morwenstowe. |

North Cornwall is a relaxing place to stay at any time of year.
An ideal location to explore the delights of Cornwall & Devon.
Famous North Cornish landmarks include the legendary
Tintagel with its castle ruins atop the craggy cliffs of North
Cornwall. The quintessential pictures postcard that is

Widemouth heritage coast. Or why not leave the beach and wander
inland a along pretty country lanes that are lined with countless
trees and it seems that time has stood still. Visit the hidden
churches such has
Minster or Lesnewth, have a pub lunch at one of the many local
Inns and Taverns and take a look at the very attractive villages off
of the beaten beach track. You could bole out of Bowithick onto the
wild North Cornwall moors or visit the railways and mines both
working and disused. There are museums of slate, of Arthurian legend
and in more recent history modern forces such has the RAF Museum at
Davidstow or the Army at
Bodmin. Galleries, Aquariums, Adventure Parks, Go Kart Racing,
Laser Shooting, Farms and Farm shops, Craft Centres, Stately Homes,
Castles, Gardens together with birds, donkeys, rare breeds, wildlife
and seal sanctuaries. Cycle the the ever lengthening
Camel Trail (about 16 miles of level track) passing from the
edge of Bodmin Moor through woodland alongside the River Camel down
the estuary to
Padstow. Stop off at the bird watching hides. Further afield the
choice widens. Whatever you want it's here.
Eating out is a pleasure in this area, with a wealth of good
restaurants or country
pubs to suit every occasion.
